Overview

Maria Delgado has contributed to over 100 radio and television programmes in the UK and Spain. This includes reviews of a range of film and stage work for the BBC World Service's The Strand, BBC Radio Three's Night Waves and Radio 4's The Film Programme, Saturday Review and Front Row as well as appearances on TV3, RTVE, BBC News 24, Radio Ser and BBC's The Cinema Show. She has also appeared as a guest on the BBC Radio 4's Start the Week on "Spain in Crisis" (first broadcast 14 May 2012) and Cultural Politics, Unity and Disunity (first broadcast 13 January 2014).

Maria Delgado is a regular contributor of reviews and features to the monthly film magazine Sight & Sound. These include two interviews with Pedro Almodóvar and a feature on his 2013 film I’m So Excited!, interviews with Diego Luna and Lisandro Alonso, and a range of shorter pieces. Online exclusives for the magazine include an overview of the 2010 and 2012 BAFICI festivals.

Her reviews on theatre and opera in Spain and Argentina have been published in Plays International, Western European Stages (since 2013 known as European Stages) and TheatreForum. Plays International is available from the National Theatre and Royal Court bookshops and in select bookshops and newsagents or through annual subscription.

She has also contributed occasional articles to Latino Life, The Sunday Herald, The Scotsman, La Vanguardia, and Radar Página 12.
