Public interviews and lectures
Maria has conducted public interviews with a range of theatre directors, actors, dramatists and composers in France, Spain, Germany, Argentina and the UK. These include Lola Arias (Anatomy Theatre, Kings College, London), Calixto Bieito (Edinburgh International Festival; Barbican Theatre London; Theatre Museum London [The Times “pick of the day”]), Àlex Rigola (HAU Theaters Berlin), Jordi Milán (Edinburgh International Festival), Osvaldo Golijov (Barbican Concert Hall London), Lluís Pasqual (Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester; Senate House London), José María Pou (University of Alicante; Cine Lumière London), Tim Crouch (Avignon Festival), Bashar Murkus (European Theatre Convention, Malta), and Mark Ravenhill (Harold Pinter Studio, Queen Mary University of London). Maria has also given public lectures and conversations about her research at cultural institutions including the BE Festival Birmingham, Cervantes Institute Cairo, the Orange Tree Theatre London, the National Theatre, the Edinburgh International Festival, Soho Theatre, the ICA, the Museo de Bellas Artes, Coruña, the Traverse Theatre Edinburgh, the Festival Internacional de las Artes de Castilla y León (Salamanca), 7 Stages Atlanta USA and the Globe Theatre (London).
