Consultancy work

Delgado has provided consultancy advice on a range of productions in the UK, Spain and Argentina. Projects include Ainadamar directed by Peter Sellars at the Teatro Real Madrid (2012); The House of Bernarda Alba, directed by Bijan Sheibani at the Almeida Theatre London (2012); Damned by Despair, directed by Bijan Sheibani at the National Theatre London (2012); and Ivan and the Dogs by Hattie Naylor at the Teatre Lliure Barcelona (2012).

Her work on competition juries involves membership of the Rolex 2001-02 Mentor and Protégé Nominating Panel and the BE Festival jury (2015). In 2019 she was appointed by the Norwegian Ministry of Culture to the Committee of the International Ibsen Award.

She served an Artistic and Quality Assessor for Arts Council England between 2010 and 2017 (having previously worked as an advisor to Northern Arts, North West Arts and Arts Council of England).

Maria has chaired a number of discussions for the European Theatre Convention in Malta, Opole and Avignon, as well as events for the V&A, the Norwegian National Theatre, and the Avignon Festival.
